Identification
P. costana shares the same elongated body shape as the other members of the Anthuridae, but differs from Anthura gracilis and Cyathura carinata in lacking statocysts on the telson and in having piercing rather than biting mouthparts.
Distribution and Habitat
Known only from an old record from the Channel Islands.
