Identification
This millipede occurs inside heated tropical glasshouses, such as Eden Project.
A description of this species, with figures, is given by Read (2008).
Distribution and Habitat
This species was first found inside the Tropical Biome at the Eden Project, Cornwall by Tony Barber in 2005 (Read, 2008) and subsequently has been refound there on several occasions.
It probably originates from the islands of the Indian Ocean such as the Seychelles and/or Mauritius and is known to have been transported to various regions including Brazil and hothouses in Denmark and Germany.
