Anchiphiloscia pilosa is a small dark philosciid with orange-marked uropods and antennae. In common with other philosciids, it has a stepped body outline, the antennae with three flagella segments and it lacks pleopodal lungs.

Anchiphiloscia pilosa is a tropical woodlouse recently discovered in the Butterfly House at Whipsnade Zoo (Telfer & Gregory, 2018).
Specimens were originally collected from among leaf-litter beneath planted shrubs.
