Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th March 2018
The 2018 meeting location, Longtown, Herefordshire, was chosen to provide attending members with opportunities to go hunting for the ‘Maerdy Monster’ and the ‘Beddau Beast’ amongst other goodies in the Welsh Valleys, the Vale of Glamorgan and beyond on the coast. We are hopeful that Dr Thomas Wesner, a colleague from the Zoologisches Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig in Bonn, will be able to join us for the weekend, and to talk about genetic bar coding and the technique of micro CT scanning.
We have block‐booked a village pub, The Crown Inn, Longtown, for the weekend. This has 7 rooms with various configurations of twin, double and bunk beds (all ensuite) to accommodate up to 14 people. In addition, the pub has 6 nice glamping pods/huts with a shower/toilet block nearby, and with breakfast at the pub.
Preference will be given to those who book early, for the whole period, and are prepared to share a room or glamping unit. For more details and to reserve your place download (a complete) a booking form (download here) and send with a £50 deposit to Paul Harding.
Last date for booking 31 January 2018, but PLEASE BOOK EARLY.
