Annual Field Meeting and AGM
Saughy Rigg Farm B&B, Twice Brewed, Haltwhistle, Northumberland
Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th April 2014
Venue: Saughy Rigg is an unusually well appointed B&B in a small hamlet (named Once Brewed on most maps) close to Hadrian’s Wall and the small town of Haltwhistle on the southern edge of Northumberland National Park. We will have exclusive use of the venue that includes a restaurant, bar, TV room and guest lounge. For more information about Saughy Rigg Farm B&B see www.saughyrigg.co.uk.
Surrounding area: Arrangements are being made for access to various sites in Cumbria, Northumberland, Dumfries and the Scottish Borders. Habitats include semi-natural woodlands, old limestone quarries, upland grassland and open moors. There are extensive areas of Access Land and the Solway Firth and the Northumbrian coast are with striking distance.
Accommodation: Accommodation is available in 11 en-suite rooms. The rooms are mainly twin and double but some single occupancy may be available (at extra cost). If the meeting is popular then single rooms may not be available and late bookers may be asked to share a triple room. Early booking is more likely to result in the room you want.
Travel: Haltwhistle is just off the A69, about 22 miles east of Carlisle and 37 miles west of Newcastle. Haltwhistle is also served by regular rail and bus services from Carlisle and Newcastle and transport can be arranged from Haltwhistle out to Saughy Rigg Farm.
Booking:
· Please book AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you want to attend the meeting.
· The standard rate is £56.00 per person per night. For this you get a shared room, full breakfast, packed lunch and dinner. Any single rooms that may be available will be allocated on a first come first served basis and the full weekend must be booked at £270 (£90 pppn).
· Please state your preferences – we will do our best meet your wishes but priority will be given to those booking for the whole weekend and who are willing to share.
· Please indicate any special dietary requirements.

Payment: Full payment will be on invoice which will be sent by the end of January – payment due by the end of February at the latest. No last minute booking/payment.
