Identification
This millipede is readily identified by having a projecting telson and a well developed projecting ventral scale (otherwise only seen in C. pyrenaicus and Enantiulus armatus, the latter having a noticeably 'hairy' body).

Distribution and Habitat
Discovered at Ventnor Botanic Gardens, Isle of Wight, in 2015 and at Plymouth, Devon, in 2016 (Barber & Read, 2016).
Subsequently, it has been found at a site in Northern Ireland (Anderson, 2018).
