This introductory workshop will be led by Steve Gregory (Organiser of BMIG Woodlouse Recording Scheme) and covers the identification of British woodlice, millipedes and centipedes; about 150 species, many of which can be identified in the field. After a presentation on the characters used to identify species, participants will have the chance to name their own material or specimens made available on the day from the BMIG reference collection housed at Dinton Pastures. There is also a possibility of a brief outdoor field session, weather and participant interest, permitting.
