This centipede is of doubtful status in the British Isles, with no confirmed records. It bears a passing resemblance to Lithobius tricuspis and females are most easy to identify. 

Although described and figured in the published identification guides by Tony Barber (2008 & 2009) this species is not included within the identification keys. 

Distribution and Habitat

Lithobius agilis is a doubtful member of the fauna of the British Isles with a few unconfirmed records up to the 1940s (and were possibly Lithobius tricuspis, a centipede not recorded in Britain until the 1960s) .

This is a widespread European species and is known from northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
